 >> GENERAL Bilston Town Hall should be a venue for community and professional productions, and have an excellent mixed programme. The ballroom should be constantly in use for community hires and community events. >> BOOKING CONSIDERATIONS When booking a venue I consider the price to be the most important factor. Price is not important to me. I make my decision to hire a venue on a combination of good customer service and good value. My decision to hire a venue is made on the location alone. Any venue I hire must have good disabled access; stairs are a problem for me. I would never use a venue that doesn’t have an elevator. I normally make a venue booking over the telephone. I prefer to make any bookings in person. I would always make a booking via the internet. I would prefer to be able to book over the internet. I would never use the internet to make a booking. I would expect to pay an all inclusive hire charge for the venue (this includes staffing and equipment). I would consider paying an additional charge for staffing and equipment. I would never book a venue that does not offer catering. I would only hire a venue where I could bring in my own catering. >>Meetings: I would expect the following to be available: Screen and Projector. Interactive White Board. Video projection facilities. Internet access. Computer access. Full audio visual facilities. Lectern. Flip Chart and Pens. Business support. Catering. >> WEDDINGS I would expect a dedicated named member of staff to deal with my requirements from booking of the venue until after the event. I would expect to be able to choose from a variety of menus and prices. The ability to supply my own catering would be important to me. Value for money would be my top priority. I would like the marriage ceremony to be conducted in the venue. >> I would expect the following to be part of the package: Free room hire. Table Linen and napkins. Flowers for the top table. Red carpet. Cake Stand and Knife. Changing room for the Bride and Groom. >> I may be happy to pay an additional charge for the following services: Entertainment for the children. Toastmaster. DJ or Band I would only book a venue where I could supply my own alcohol. I would be happy to pay a corkage charge. I would expect the venue to provide and run a bar. >> PARTIES >> I would expect the following to be available: A late license for alcohol. Sound and lighting equipment. Room decoration. >> I may be happy to pay an additional charge for the following items: Mirror Ball. Themed decoration.
