“Just Do It” Pilot Project: Supporting First Nations-led Environmental Flow Needs Strategies in BC

The First Nations Fisheries Council of BC (FNFC) is trying something new. We will provide support for up to five First Nations across British Columbia to establish environmental flow needs (EFNs) thresholds for fish species in critical streams within their traditional territories. Please see the Backgrounder (link: https://www.fnfisheriescouncil.ca/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/EFN-Pilot-Backgrounder_First-Nations-Fisheries-Council_Nov-2019.pdf) for more information or contact FNFC Water for Fish Project Coordinator Genevieve Layton-Cartier at genevieve@fnfisheriescouncil.ca or 778-379-6470.

The deadline is December 9th, 2019 at 5pm PT and funds available are $15,000 per First Nations community or organization.

8. Does your community/organization have an existing project related to environmental flow needs for fish species?
10. Would you be willing to participate in FNFC's Environmental Flow Needs Technical Working Group (meet 3 times per year)?
Thank you!
