E-mail Notifications of Responses

You have launched a survey and want to set up the e-mail notification so that you can get a message in your inbox every time the survey is completed by a new visitor. Let us see how it can be done.

1. First, click  Manage  on the My Surveys page of your account. The Manage Survey page will open.

2. In the section Response Notification by E-Mail, select:

Receive e-mail notifications: yes

3. Send notifications at this e-mail address: enter your e-mail address here.

4. In the section 'Optional: Customize E-Mail Notifications' you may customize the attributes of the e-mail messages you will get, such as the sender's name ('From' field), sender's address, and the subject of the message:

For example, if one of the questions of the survey stands for the respondent's name, you may assign the answer to this questions to serve as the 'From' field of the message (the selection is made by choosing one of the survey questions from the drop-down list). The same is applied to the two rest fields: sender's e-mail and message subject.

Now, in case the respondent enters his personal information (such as name and e-mail), you will get a personalized e-mail notification, as if it was sent by this person individually, with the title of the survey as the messages subject. Of course, this is a mere illusion, but such functionality may greatly contribute to the needs of filtering, storing, or processing survey results by the means of e-mail. See the sample below for a specimen of such personalized e-mail message.
