How to Deliver Invitations to Participants

You have created and published a survey, but no one seems to respond. What is wrong? Your respondents don't know about it! If they receive personal invitations via e-mail, the response rate will likely be much better. CreateSurvey features a mass e-mail engine that allows to quickly distribute invitations to as many respondents as you have e-mail addresses. This method is especially efficient if you own a mailing list of your focus group members (e.g registered customers, staff, research or work group, etc.) However, please note that this method should be used only using a legally obtained list of e-mails.

Now, let's see how this may be done.

On the My Survey page click the Send E-mail Invitation link. A page will open with the following fields to fill in:

  • From (name): This is your name (John Smith).
  • From (e-mail): This is your e-mail (john_smith@company.com).
  • Send replies to: You may leave this field blank in most cases.
  • Send undelivered replies to: You may leave this one blank too.
  • Subject: This is the subject of the e-mail message that recipients will get ("Please take part in a short survey").
  • Use template: You may use one of the pre-defined templates for the message body text...
  • Message body: or you may write one of your own if you wish. Mind that variables will be substituted by real data. Don't use the [NAME] tag if your maillist doesn't contain recipients' names.
  • Track/Do not track respondents: You may leave 'Track' by default.
  • Upload list of recipients: You should insert your respondents names and e-mails (or e-mails alone) here.

Click on the  Start Mailing  button. That is all, your invitations are sent! You may now visit the E-mail Invitations section from the My Survey page to view the status of your maillist.
